omarchy-proton-drive-sync
Hourly sync for your local Proton Drive folder on Omarchy, with a bar widget to force a sync on click.
- Hourly sync — a systemd user timer mirrors
~/Proton Drive/rootup to Proton Drive/my-files. - Bar widget — cloud icon showing sync state; left-click to sync now, right-click for a status notification.
Install
Requires Omarchy and the Proton Drive CLI (proton-drive-cli-bin), signed in (proton-drive auth login).
omarchy plugin add https://git.cyfrowynomada.com/CyfrowyNomada/omarchy-proton-drive-sync.git
~/.config/omarchy/plugins/com.cyfrowynomada.proton-drive-sync/install.sh
Then add the Proton Drive sync widget to your bar (omarchy bar move com.cyfrowynomada.proton-drive-sync --section right, or via the bar settings).
Standalone (without the bar widget): clone the repo and run ./install.sh.
What syncs
Uploading is a one-way mirror of ~/Proton Drive/root → Proton Drive /my-files:
- new files are uploaded,
- changed files become new revisions,
- unchanged files are skipped (content hash),
- local deletions/renames do not propagate — the cloud copy keeps everything (the safe direction).
Files added from other devices are not downloaded.
